Emergency Plumbing Across Birmingham FAQs

How quickly can you get to me in an emergency?
We prioritise emergencies and in most cases can be with you the same day across Birmingham and the surrounding areas. Call 07576 595048 and we will give you a realistic arrival time rather than a vague window.
What should I do while I wait for a burst pipe to be fixed?
Turn the water off at the internal stopcock, which is usually under the kitchen sink. Open the cold taps to drain the system, turn the heating off if hot water is involved, and switch off any electrics near the water. Then move anything valuable clear of the leak.
Do you work at nights, weekends and bank holidays?
Yes. We are available 24/7, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays. Leaks and boiler failures do not keep office hours, so neither do we.
Where is my stopcock and what if it will not turn?
The internal stopcock is most often under the kitchen sink, and sometimes in a downstairs cloakroom or utility. If it is seized, do not force it, as that can make the leak worse. Call us and we will talk you through isolating the supply, and we can replace a seized stopcock while we are with you.
Will my home insurance cover an emergency plumbing repair?
Many buildings and contents policies cover escape of water and the damage it causes, and some cover the trace and access work needed to find the leak. We can provide a clear written invoice and a description of the fault for your claim.
How much does an emergency callout cost?
We give honest, on-the-spot pricing before any work starts, so you know the cost up front. Pricing is transparent and there are no surprises added at the end of the job.
